Pu-er Tea is made from Yunnan's leaves and stems of the Camellia Sinensis plant. The popularity of Pu-er tea stems from it's uniquely woody fragrance and smooth after taste. It is also known for health benefits such as its antioxidant properties and the lowering of certain blood fats such as triglycerides as well as cholesterol.

In the field of tea, Pu-er tea is considered a special breed as the tea can be aged for decades or longer. As a result of ageing, Pu-er tea develops more depth and texture in its taste. Hence, it is a no-wonder that the longer Pu'er is kept, the more valuable and expensive it becomes.
